Privacy Policy
Measurements run on your iPhone. The raw audio it records is never uploaded or kept, and your email is only used for product updates — never sold to anyone.
What we collect
Only what’s needed to run a measurement and stay in touch — as little as possible:
- Acoustic measurement data: the room response computed during a measurement (impulse response, frequency curves and similar derived data).
- Device info: iPhone model, iOS version and microphone type — used for calibration and troubleshooting.
- Email address: only if you leave your email or write to us.
- Anonymous diagnostics: crash logs and non-identifying usage stats, which you can turn off in settings.
Your microphone and recordings
During a measurement the app plays a sweep tone and records it with the microphone. That raw recording is processed entirely on your device to compute your room’s acoustic response.
The raw audio is never uploaded, never leaves your phone, and is discarded once the math is done. We can’t access — and don’t want — the ambient sound or conversations in your room.
How we use it
- To produce your measurement report and adjustment suggestions.
- To improve the measurement algorithms and recommendations, using aggregated, anonymous data.
- To send product updates and reply to your messages.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent any of your data.
- We don’t embed third-party ad SDKs or track you across apps.
- We don’t repurpose your data without telling you first.
Third-party services
We lean on as few third parties as we can. Today that’s an email provider for our mail and an anonymous crash-reporting service. Each one only sees the minimum it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Measurement data lives on your device by default and is gone when you delete the app. Anything you sync or send us is kept until you ask us to delete it; email is cleared within 30 days of unsubscribing.
Your rights
You can ask to see, export or delete the data we hold about you at any time, and withdraw any consent. Write to hi@acouvero.com and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
Children
Acouvero isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email.
